Tesco's Clubcard is among the largest loyalty programs in Europe. Using the app, Tesco customers can manage their points from their mobile devices. Tesco apps also allow customers to do their shopping online, offering them a convenient way to buy their groceries on the go. Also, rather than waiting in the checkout queue, customers can have their groceries delivered straight to their front door.
Loyalty programs are crucial marketing tools, especially when collecting data on consumers’ shopping patterns, which is used to improve communication with different segments as well as with individual customers. It also allows the retailers to provide far more personalised offers to boost customer retention and engagement. Developing mobile apps for their loyalty programs across Europe was therefore a logical and well-thought-out step for Tesco. We are delighted to have had the opportunity to cooperate with Tesco’s Clubcard programs to develop apps for their markets in Ireland, Thailand, Malaysia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary.
However, we did not stop there, in line with retail apps' increasing in popularity, we created Tesco shopping apps for all seven countries listed above in addition to Turkey. Continuously, in pursuit of improvement, we also developed two internal applications: InformApp and Sorter, which both focus on checking stock availability and the location of specific products in the Tesco stores.
